Camera Techniques
HDR
HDR stands for High Dynamic Range and it adds more dynamic range to your photographs which is the ratio of light to dark. To make an HDR photo you take several pictures at different exposures. I usually take 5 pictures one very bright, one bright, one just right, one dark, and one very dark. I then merge the pictures together using the merge to HDR feature in Adobe Photoshop. This can also be done using apps on your smartphone although I would recommend using a physical camera and editing the photos in Photoshop, Lightroom or another photo editing software for the PC or Mac.
